Dr. Clement Nyirenda received a PhD in Computational Intelligence and Systems Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology, an MScEng in Computer Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malawi. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). His research efforts and publications hinge on Computational Intelligence paradigms such as Fuzzy Logic, Evolutionary Computation and Artificial Neural Networks, and their applications in Communication Networks and Smart Environments.
