IoT Based Anti-Crime Platform Using MicroGPS Chips

Be the first

GPS chips are becoming smaller and smaller. It is now becoming more and more possible to deploy these chips inconspicuously and use them for tracking purposes. This creates an awesome opportunity for fighting crime in South Africa, where crim rates are very high. The aim of this project is to develop an Internet of Thing (IoT) based platform whereby small GPS chips will be mounted on a wide range of property in an unobtrusive manner. These chips will constantly relay their location information to a remote server, where data analysis will done and the data will be relayed to the user. The user can relay the location information to the crime fighting aurthorities.
