Dr Renier van Heerden the SANReN Cybersecurity Manager – SANREN is the South African National Research and Education Network. Previously he was a principal researcher at Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in Pretoria, South Africa in the field of Cybersecurity. Dr van Heerden completed his Master’s degree in Engineering at the University of Pretoria and his PhD at Rhodes University. His domains of interest are network security, password security, network attacks and network ontologies.
